Pregnant Kourtney Kardashian Shares the Life-Saving Ultrasound That Helped Her and Travis Barker’s Baby
Kourtney Kardashian, who is eagerly anticipating the arrival of a baby boy with husband Travis Barker, recently spoke about a crucial ultrasound experience that had a significant impact on her pregnancy. Less than two months after revealing she underwent fetal surgery, the reality star opened up about the incident.
Kourtney Kardashian is reflecting on a challenging period during her pregnancy journey. The star of “The Kardashians,” who is expecting a baby boy with her husband, Travis Barker, shared her story of discovering the need for fetal surgery during what she initially believed would be a routine ultrasound.
In an interview with Vogue published on October 17, she described the experience as eye-opening, saying, “That experience opened my eyes to a whole new world of pregnancy that I didn’t know about in the past. It was terrifying. Afterward, I learned that insurance typically only covers two ultrasounds when you’re pregnant, I had no idea. I’ve always been lucky enough to do more than what insurance covers, and it’s one of those ultrasounds that saved my baby’s life.”
In September, Kourtney first informed her fans about the “urgent” surgery and shared her fear, considering that her previous pregnancies with her ex, Scott Disick, were “three really easy pregnancies.” Despite sharing her concerns, the Lemme mogul revealed in a recent interview with Vanity Fair Italia that she isn’t fully prepared to disclose the complete details of her experience just yet. At the moment, Kourtney is focusing on the anticipation of meeting her little one.
“I’ve finally been able to let go of the fear and worry that everybody else put in us because of this pregnancy,” she expressed to Vogue. “I’m ready to go in, have the baby, and have the experience we’re meant to have.”
Kourtney, who also holds the role of stepmother to Travis’s son Landon Barker, daughter Alabama Barker, and stepdaughter Atiana De La Hoya, isn’t stressing about a specific birth plan.
“I’ve actually never had a birth plan in the past,” she shared. “I was so chill when my water broke with Mason; I shaved my legs and put on makeup. This time, I still don’t have a birth plan except for talking to the baby all the time and telling him ‘Everything is going to be amazing.'”
