In the midst of her father’s ongoing legal challenges, Ivanka Trump marked a special family milestone by celebrating her maternal grandmother Marie Zelníčková’s 97th birthday in Miami. The former President Donald Trump’s daughter, aged 41, shared the heartwarming news on her Instagram alongside a series of photos capturing the occasion.
“It’s the simple moments together that define the richness of life,” Ivanka expressed in the caption. “I cherish every second! 🥰.”
Despite the legal issues surrounding the former commander-in-chief, aged 77, a source close to the Trump family has indicated that they remain unfazed about the possibility of him facing jail time. The source confidently asserted, “Everyone knows he’s not going to jail. No one is worried.”
Ivanka Trump and her husband, Jared Kushner, have been living openly in Miami, Florida, with the source noting that they are “definitely not hiding” and enjoy a beachfront lifestyle.
While Ivanka had previously declared her intention to steer clear of politics and not participate in her father’s potential 2024 presidential campaign, the source mentioned that she and her husband “seem like they don’t have a care in the world.”
The former president currently faces a total of 91 criminal counts across four separate criminal investigations. Additionally, the Trump Organization’s financial dealings are under scrutiny in a civil fraud trial. The trial moved forward following a ruling by Judge Arthur Engoron, who determined that the organization had overvalued certain properties to secure favorable loans and lower insurance premiums. Notably, the Mar-a-Lago club in Palm Beach, Florida, was among the properties alleged to be overvalued. Trump claimed its worth to be between $426.5 million and $612.1 million, but the judge cited a significantly lower appraised market value, between $18 million and $27.6 million.
Responding to the ruling, New York State Attorney General Letitia James, who initiated the fraud case against Trump and his adult sons, Eric Trump and Donald Trump Jr., stated, “Today, a judge ruled in our favor and found that Donald Trump and the Trump Organization engaged in years of financial fraud. We look forward to presenting the rest of our case at trial.”
Trump took to the social media platform Truth Social to criticize the judge, calling him a “Deranged, Trump Hating Judge” and disputing the property’s value. He also claimed his net worth to be significantly higher than indicated in the financial statements.
As the trial commenced, Trump’s legal team filed a notice of appeal to a New York appellate court, although Trump was not ordered to appear at the trial. New York State Attorney General Letitia James characterized his attendance during the initial days of the trial as a “political stunt” and emphasized that “The Donald Trump show is over.”
