Prepare to be dazzled as Anne Hathaway and Meryl Streep, former co-stars from “The Devil Wears Prada,” staged a spectacular reunion at the second annual Albie Awards hosted by the Clooney Foundation for Justice. The star-studded event, celebrating individuals who have fearlessly devoted their lives to justice, saw these iconic actresses come together, marking 17 years since the beloved film’s release.

Both Hathaway, 40, and Streep, 74, radiated joy as they posed together at the event, showcasing the enduring camaraderie forged during their time on set.

In a departure from the iconic cerulean blue, Hathaway donned a resplendent, shimmery green Versace floor-length dress adorned with a silver checkered pattern and delicate floral appliqués. Her ensemble was complemented by a silver bag, and she wore her hair elegantly styled half-up, half-down. A diamond necklace, matching earrings, and other silver accessories added a touch of extra sparkle to her look.

Streep, equally enchanting, donned a sparkling black sweater adorned with gold embellishments, paired with sleek black pants and dress shoes. Photographers captured the heartwarming moment when the two former co-stars shared a warm embrace.

They weren’t the sole “Devil Wears Prada” alumni in attendance; Emily Blunt, 40, graced the event alongside her husband, John Krasinski. Blunt exuded elegance in a sleek red Zuhair Murad dress with a scoop neckline and charming heart-shaped pockets on the hips. Krasinski sported a classic black tuxedo, complete with a white shirt and black bowtie.

In the 2006 film adaptation of Lauren Weisberger’s novel, Hathaway portrayed the aspiring journalist Andy Sachs, who secured a job as the assistant to the formidable Runway magazine editor, Miranda Priestly, portrayed by Streep. Emily Blunt played the role of Emily Charlton, Miranda’s first assistant.

Directed by David Frankel, the film also featured Stanley Tucci, Adrian Grenier, and Simon Baker. Apart from its impressive global earnings of $326 million, it earned Streep an Oscar nomination.

Throughout the years, Hathaway and Streep have maintained their friendship, delighting fans with joint appearances at the 2009 Vanity Fair Oscars Afterparty and the 2014 Academy Awards red carpet.

In 2021, David Frankel revealed that Streep played a pivotal role in ensuring Hathaway was cast in the film. Frankel explained, “Meryl was eager to make the movie, and she said, ‘Let me meet with her.'” Streep’s endorsement ultimately led to Hathaway securing the role, which she enthusiastically accepted, recalling, “I remember the moment I found out I got the part, I just ran screaming through my apartment.” Her infectious excitement was shared with friends, as she jubilantly proclaimed, “I’m going to be in The Devil Wears Prada!”
