Travis Barker, the renowned Blink-182 drummer, and expectant father with Kourtney Kardashian, has shared his recent battle with trigeminal neuralgia, a chronic pain disorder characterized by excruciating facial pain. The musician remains resilient, facing his health challenges with determination and positivity.

Trigeminal neuralgia, as described by the National Institute of Neurological Disorders and Stroke, involves sudden and severe facial pain, often localized to one side of the face. These painful episodes typically last for a few seconds to a couple of minutes and can be accompanied by numbness, throbbing, or burning sensations. The disorder is commonly associated with nerve injury or lesions but can also be linked to conditions such as multiple sclerosis.

Travis, 47, has been candid about his struggle with trigeminal neuralgia, previously advocating for acupuncture as a potential treatment option in 2017.

Despite facing this recent episode, Travis has encountered additional health challenges, including a bout with COVID-19 and a root canal, all while taking a break from his band’s European tour. Undeterred, he expressed his unwavering spirit, stating on Twitter (formerly known as X), “Last week I had covid, an episode of trigeminal neuralgia, and a root canal, which means I can pretty much handle anything god throws at me.”

Even a COVID-19 diagnosis did not deter Travis from enjoying a baby shower with Kourtney in celebration of their upcoming arrival. The couple, who tied the knot in Italy last year, marked the occasion with a Disney-themed party on September 23, hosted by Kris Jenner. Kourtney expressed her gratitude on social media, acknowledging her mother’s efforts in transforming her home into a “happiest place on earth” for the celebration.

Kourtney, who already shares three children—Mason, Penelope, and Reign—with her ex Scott Disick, recently faced a medical emergency herself. She underwent urgent fetal surgery and expressed her appreciation for the medical team that saved her baby’s life. Travis, who was on tour at the time, swiftly returned to be by her side, earning her heartfelt gratitude as her unwavering support and rock during challenging times.
